Entrance

Upon entering our hospital you will find a welcoming and inviting foyer directing you to choose your destination. Left for most medical services and right for physical therapy, boarding, grooming and retail.

Front Office

If medical services are the reason for your visit, upon entering the medical waiting room you will be greeted by our warm and friendly client relation specialists. They will be your communication team with the doctors and technicians while you are in our waiting area and when you complete your appointment.

Comfort Station

While seated, enjoy a snack and drink at our comfort station, while viewing Animal Planet, visable from all areas of the waiting room on one of the two large screen t.vs

Play Area

Your children are welcome to enjoy our play area. It is viewable from all areas of the waiting room so that you can watch them while they play. Kids love the ladder, the upstairs deck and the below kitty cut out club house. Coloring books and crayons are also available for little hands to enjoy.

Exam Room

When escorted into our examination room you will find a relaxing atmosphere coupled with the latest of technological advances. For your viewing pleasure, each exam room contains a television upon which one can be view your pet's digital x-rays, as well as real-time MedRx videography. If your children are in tow, popular children's DVD's are available for their viewing pleasure while you converse with the veterinarian.

In-House Lab

If lab work is part of your pet's visit today, it will be processed by our trained technicians in our state-of-the art laboratory. Those samples sent to outside laboratories are sent to Antech Diagnostics, and Idexx Laboratories.

Pharmacy

Our full-service pharmacy is located adjacent to our front waiting area and our reception desk. This offers convenient pick up of your pre-order medications, as well as allows for a streamlined check-out process at the reception desk. All to minimize your wait at the end of your visit.

In-Patient Area

Located in the heart of our hospital, many treatments are performed in our in-patient area. This is a hub of activity throughout the day. Hospitalized patients and surgical patients are often housed in this area and receive a wealth of attention. It is in this area that you pet's dental procedure is performed.

Phlebotomy

A special room is designed behind the examination room area for blood draw and/or fluid administration. This room has all the accessories needed to perform these tasks and is quiet and out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the practice. Patients are much more relaxed for the procedure than in the exam room or in the treatment area. Vaccinations can be performed in this room at the request of the owner who is a bit needle shy.

Radiology

Our radiology room is equipped with a specially designed, state-of-the-art, digitally operated, veterinary radiology machine. This allows us to move the table top in all four directions without the use of our hands, keeping hands free to comfort and to position the patient during what can sometimes be a stressful experience for the pet. All of our radiographs are taken on digital plates (no x-ray film) and are read by a digital x-ray film reader that displays your pet's x-ray in our veterinary software system seconds after processing. The digital x-rays can be viewed on any computer in the hospital, as well as in the examination rooms on the large monitor screens that have replaced our traditional x-ray viewers. Digital x-rays can be shared quickly and efficiently with a referral hospital via email.

Dental Films

Our dental x-ray machine allows us to take films of not only the teeth and jaw, but also very small extremities found on birds and pocket pets. Again, these radiographs are all digital and taken with tiny digital x-ray plates that transfer the image directly to the computer.

Surgery

Our sterile, well-equipped, surgical suite is where our invasive (cutting into the skin) surgery is performed. All of our surgical cutting on the outer layer of the skin is performed by CO2 laser which decreases bleeding, swelling, pain and promotes a quicker recovery of the surgical site. Our monitoring equipment contains but is not limited to end tidal capnography, pulse oximetry, state-of-the-art anesthetic monitoring, as well as a certified veterinary technician assisting the veterinarian in the surgical suite at all times physically monitoring the patients vitals throughout the procedure.

Physical Therapy

(Click the photo to the left to view a mini-movie) In the exciting field of veterinary medicine yet another advance has been made in the field of physical therapy. Countryside has embraced this healing and health maintenance service by investing in this technology. Countryside Canine Rehabilitation, located in a physical therapy suite at Countryside Veterinary Hospital, contains a hydro-physio water treadmill, jog-a-dog land treadmill, many heat and cold modalities, NEMS machine as well as therapeutic laser treatment and therapeutic ultrasound. Physical therapy is used in dogs and cats to promote healing after surgery as well as maintenance of high energy dogs, service dogs, and those dogs involved in field trials. PT is also used as part of a weight loss program where doing so would be in the best interest of the patient's overall health. Physical therapy also has many applications in helping neurologic disorders and to promote healing of incision sites, relieve pain of osteoarthritis and much more.

Grooming

Bathing beauties abound every day in our large grooming tubs while they enjoy the jacuzzi-jet like action of our hydrosurge warm water bathing system. Our trained groomers ensure the comfort and needs of your pet, while applying the perfect trim to your liking.

boarding team

Boarding

In our boarding facility your pets are loved and cared for by an outstanding staff of pet loving individuals. Detailed report cards are sent home at the end of your pet's stay. VIP services are offered as well as birthday parties for those pet's celebrating that special time with us. We feed premium quality diets to our boarders, but welcome special diets to cater to your pet's individual needs. Pets are in our temperature controlled kennels throughout their stay and dogs are walked no less than 3 times daily, often more. A special boarding area is set aside for exotics, reptiles and pocket pets where owners bring the housing, bedding and food and we follow the owner provided instructions to meet the unique caring needs for those pets.

Retail

Upon entering the hospital to the left of the foyer you will find a knowledgeable and welcoming Front Office Animal Care Specialist to greet you and direct you to your specific area of need. Also located in this area are many pet training products, pet toys, and premium pet foods to peruse and purchase no matter what your pet's current medical status. Our trained retail staff can help you select the product and food that are best for your pet and will even carry it out to your car while you are juggling your keys, your pets and your kids.

Conference Room

Countryside holds 8 staff meetings per year where all staff are required to attend and 4 - 6 employee instructional meetings per month designed for the attendance of specific departments. These are held in our conference room, located on the 2nd floor of the hospital, which can house up to 100 people. For ease of presentation a power point projector is mounted to the ceiling facing a drop down presentation screen. All of the media is directly linked to a media cabinet that controls the sound of the wireless microphone, the computer and DVD equipment and powers all units. 6 ceiling speakers allow for equal sound distribution throughout the room and a white board is located on the wall adjacent to the podium. It is in this room also where vendor presentations are held and CE opportunities for our hospital and neighboring hospitals are facilitated.
